Similar to, or exactly like, something that is spherical, which holds the longest diameter through the center, the most sustainable path, longest lasting, with allowance for most fufillment of space and time, of our lives, is through the center – with balance. Visually, starting at the poles, we would find an arch, right? When graphing an arch, and analyzing the trend, the top of the arch could be where we find the peak or in basic prose, here lies where we should find the average of the population, science points here, find your way here. Now this trend could also move with time, and therefore the peak is the time and place of highest functioning, before decline. Back to the analogy, we begin with ignorant helplessness, with blind hope, find our way with choice, which balancess helplessness and hope, i’d say, and we end there again with conscious helplessness and at peace, you’d hope.

A friend sent me a submission page for a 300 word piece of writing about Utopia the other day and I have yet to stop thinking about the concept. There have been many thoughts that have come and gone and tonight I am with a much more serious take. The context, which feels necessary for me because I am so grateful that I am able to express myself in such a cathartic manner, while making it indirect, for the most part. I am feeling a bit weak these days. Obviously I am not physically weak, which is excellent, but mentally I am feeling a bit short circuited. I find myself too busy in an unsustainable manner. I did get told today by a man who seems to live a very unsustainable life, that he didn’t like me, through the excuse that he was too busy. It actually doesn’t bother me on a personal level, but it scratches my throat ever so slightly that people don’t help themselves. I’d say this is selfish and pitiful. I’d say I recognize the overwhelming feeling of my busy schedule due to my presence in such activities. I am thoroughly aware of all variables effecting and effected by the choices I make, therefore I am constantly reevaluating. I am not sure if it is ironic, but I told this man that I apologize for not being adaptable to having him in my life in a different way I intended. I do not believe I am not adaptable, but whether he meant it or not, the effect his life is having on him, is not something I want to be apart of. It is pertenant that I share my time with those keen to their choices and health. That is all for context. It seems in this paragraph I have used the word “sustain,” to reflect this idea of balance that i am hoping to tie into the concept of Utopia and my introduction paragraph that attempted to articulate trends in non tangible concepts that reflect our grounded lives.

Balance would be my idea of Utopia, at least tonight. The first night I began describing Utopia as a world where we did not have to brush our teeth, but creative writing is much more challenging for me so I was unable to tie my thoughts together. Balance seems like a good answer for today. I’d say our mutation in the timeline of earth’s evolution refines life so heavily that balance is nearly impossible. We observe balance in nature, and it actually gives us an idea of a good path, but the intelligence of our mutated life form won’t allow it. I wonder if balance within would cause for each sense to need its own look of balance, or if psychological balance is taking what is provided and forming a balance of thought about it. The latter is what I would hope because than we would not find such frustration with the affect of other life forms on our lives. So maybe it is internal balance I am aiming for. To just have a boundary of thought. To always find the opposing idea of the intial thought, which would allow for settlement rather than constant rumination of possibility. I really rather be able to seek my best interest, which in turn helps other’s best interest, and not have to hit a place of deep confusion and sadness, before understanding my choices.
